First, there was the traditional faxing solution where faxes were sent from traditional fax machine to fax machine. Then came the second generation in fax solutions where a fax number could be attached to an e-mail address and faxes could now be delivered as an e-mail attachment.
Fax to Email solutions introduce a revolution in Fax transmission and reception:
- Fax to email billing is based a minimum charge for the first minute, thereafter the charge is calculated per second
- Fax to email enables the client to choose from the range of solution options to meet their specific needs
Fax to Email:
Fax to Email is free to you as the user. You pay NOTHING. There is no cost to the receiver of a fax, i.e. YOU, however the sender of the fax to your computer from a normal fax machine will be charged R2.02 per minute on a 086XXXXXXX .
086XXXXXXX numbers can only be called from TELKOM, NO INTERNATIONAL FAXES AND NO FAXES FROM CELLULAR NETWORKS. To receive international faxes, you will need to subscribe to the fax+ service.
An email would be drafted and sent to "faxnumber"@faxwhiz.com (i.e. 27113171801@faxwhiz.com) - the body of the mail will serve as the coversheet, the
attachment will serve as the fax itself. All major file formats are supported.
